Anyway can I just connect my landline through the hub 2 or does it have to be through the telephone wall thingy? Iv never used it as you can tell

Hi @Anonymous User
Never used Virgin Media myself, but my understanding is that to use the NOW Broadband service you need a BT Telephone line, where usually the master socket has BT Openreach marked on it.
Should you have a phone socket with Virgin Media stamped on it and used this socket for Virgin Media telephone than i don't believe they are compatible.
Are there any other wires coming in from outside with a BT telephone socket on the end of it.
Your best option is to phone the NOW Broadband Team using the number in the link below to explain to them your existing setup and question why a BT Openreach Engineer is not required.

Hi @Anonymous User
I am having some doubt now about the advice in my first couple of paragraphs on my first post, where i have done some quick research on the internet and find conflicting information.
Your best bet is to phone the NOW Broadband Team.
I found this NOW linked Help Article about switching and notifying Virgin Media about the cancellation of their service and it also mentions a possible Engineers visit or not (which also has put some doubt in the back of my mind).
