Hi there.
I am an existing NOW TV custome, but was about to sign up to the broadband service as well. However, the sales person on the phone has told me that I won't be able to keep my land line if I do, as Talk Talk won't let them port the number over.
I have since been in contact with Talk Talk, who tell me that this is not the case, and that they can port my existing number over.
Not particularly impressed with this. Can anyone shed any light please?
I don't use my land line to make many calls, but everyone else calls me on it, so to change it would be a real inconvenience.
Thank you in advance

Thank you very much for letting me know .
I've since attempted to order online and it let me carry my number over so
at least that's sorted. I would have done this anyway but the sales guy was
obviously keen to deal with this himself and had been advised to suggest
otherwise!
So my order is going through as we speak. I don't know if it's possible to
find out who I was speaking to as I have forgotten his name. But I will no
longer be requiring a call from him.
Many thanks again for your response.
Kind regards
Glad you got it sorted online in the end @Anonymous User
I'll try and find out who it was and tell them you will no longer be requiring a call 🙂
Thanks again and hope you enjoy your stay @Anonymous User

Hi,
I also have moved to Nowtv from TalkTalk and my original landline number has not ported over.
Who'd I contact to rectify this?
Many Thanks,
Simon

August 2020 update- after no callback and more calls where reps were unable to help me i have got my old number back with another provider and very happy to have escaped NowTV. They do not have a process for retrieving your old number once they have lost it. You are not told this. They will say all kinds of rubbish. Fact is most numbers revert to BT/ talk talk/ Virgin as 'range holder' for 3 months after you switch providers. I have switched to a firm who were able to restore the number which NowTV had no process for this and were therefore unable to do this.
The technical terminology is fairly straightforward:
The provisioning team in Now TV (who administer new line setups) should be aware of their porting agreement with range holders. These details are lost on the NowTV technical reps, who have in place a 'can't do and don't do' approach to porting. Other providers are not like this!
So, switch to another provider within the first month and incur no fees. Other providers are easily found and it does't have to be an expensive BT option!
Goodbye Now Tv broadband, goodbye headaches! - and hello old number old friend!
