Sync speed lower than guaranteed

Hello

Just went live with nowtv fibre on Monday. The initial speeds prior to sign-up were advertised at 20.5-30.4 Mbps down and 2.8-3.5 Mbps up, with guaranteed at 17.4 Mbps. However, I'm getting a lower rate of 14.5 Mbps down and 1.3 Mbps up. I chatted with an advisor who suggested restarting the Nowtv hub. But this has done nothing. I did have some provisioning issues, and an openreach engineer fixed this, and also replaced my socket with an in built filter. Any suggestions?

Thanks David

For the first week, at least, it will be slowly tracking upwards towards the optimum stable speed.

Keep your router on at all times, monitor the speeds daily, and worry only if it tops out below your guaranteed speeds,

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it.
Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now.
That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.

We're two weeks in with Now TV Broadband & having the same issues. Hoping it gets better?!?

Unlikely, after two weeks, as long as you are keeping your router on 24/7. (If not, start doing that now).

Otherwise, call NowTV Broadband on the number you were given to discuss this.
