Sending the syslog to a multicast address goes out the incorrect port

I am attempting to send syslog messages from the router to a multicast address, but this fails for two reasons.

First, with IPv4:

Nothing happens. The routing table isn't updated.

Second, with IPv6:

An entry is added but it assigned to the incorrect port.

As you can see I tried multiple scopes.

I tried adding the interface identifier (ff02::2:2%br0 and ff02::2:2%eth0) but the router just gives an empty response and this is not saved.

As a last attempt I tried sending the packets to 192.168.0.255, for which there is already an entry in routing table but nothing happened.

I'd be amazed if there is any solution, other than changing the firmware.

Interesting. Probably not of any interest to you @Anonymous User but my router syslog is sent ok to a RPi3 on the LAN using the UI settings to point to the RPi’s IPv4 LAN address as the destination). This is using a NR801 with firmware 2.90.2471.R
