Router blocking Wifi on mobile with Private DNS enabled

Hi

Got someone with a Private DNS enabled on their phone and when they attempt to connect to my home wifi, they just get "Connected with No Internet".

Is there anything in the router settings that needs to be changed as it only appears to be with the NOW Hub that this is happening with ?

Many thanks in advance

Hi @JackRussell

Don't know if there is anything in this similar linked thread below helps.

Hi schnapps

Already seen that thread and it doesn't apply as I have age restrictions switched off.

Hi @JackRussell

It wouldn't be an iPhone with Private Relay enabled where this does cause problems with NOW Broadband.

Only thing I can suggest if it's the above to switch Private Relay off when connected to the NOW Router.

Or is it affecting Android phones as well?

Hi @JackRussell

Should it be an iPhone with Private Relay enabled, then somebody over on the Sky Community Forum suggested set Sky Shield to Age 18.

If your Broadband Buddy is totally switched off, maybe try Age 18 setting instead from your NOW online account.

Sorry can't help further if it's an iPhone, where I only use Android in my household.

If not using an iPhone then please ignore this post, but I will leave it here, where it may or may not help others who are encountering the same issue.

Hi @JackRussell

Have you tried over on the GrapheneOS community?

Sorry I am out of ideas, where I only use stock Android on my devices.

@schnapps

Sorted !!  Thanks to your guidance !  It appears that the Hub is auto-restricted to age 13.  I removed that and hey presto, it worked !

Next thing to look at is changing the DNS servers to Custom on the router but not sure if that is possible (not looked yet)
