Router Connected Devices

Hello

I was recently checking my home Wi-Fi router settings and noticed an unknow device connected to it - definitely not something of mine. I changed the password and then went about amending passwords on my devices, despite changing the password, it still instantly shows up connected to my router - before I've even amended any of my devices.

Incidentally, when I went to change the password on my iPhone, a pop up came up asking me if I wanted to share my password with "XXXXX" - the name of the afore mentioned unknow device. As i said, i have no idea what this other device is.

Thanks in advance

@NHGlos

If you do a factory reset to the router, this should boot off all devices.

FYI that I do not work for NOW, just a NOW customer trying to help

Thank you, I'll give that a try.

Hi @NHGlos

The unknown devices on your list is common when using a Sky or NOW Router.

I have a couple of unknown devices connected to my NOW Hub 2 Router.

Have a read of this thread taken from the Sky Community Forum.

Also I believe the Apple message is some sort of Apple thing which is nothing to worry about.

I don't own any Apple products, but try the search box on the Community here for any similar results or maybe try a search with your internet browser.

Get the free Fing app on an Android device (its available on iOS, but too limited by Apple policies to be any use) and see if this throws any more light on what is on your router device list; it does its own interrogating and device list checking.

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it. Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now. That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.
