Recently Joined Intermittent Speed

Hello All,

We've recently joined NOW Broadband, after moving due to a competitors pricing rising quite considerably.

Whilst we love the price being charged, I'm noticing intermittent connection speeds and under the speed promised also. We are about 5-6 days in being with NOW and with my speed tests bouncing between 5mps to 51mps, it's rarely a stable speed and only hit above the guaranteed speed 4 times.

When I go to test the line through the dedicated page here, it says we're receiving 70.5mps, I certainly have not seen that speed once even when I'm right on top of the router.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Give it till after 10 days. As the speed will go up and down for a bit during that time.

Are these speeds over Ethernet or Wi-Fi?
If it’s the latter you can split the signals which should help the speed.

FYI that I do not work for NOW, just a NOW customer trying to help

Hello,

Thank you just realised we are 7 days in, so I will re-test upon the 10 days.

It is indeed through WiFi, as mentioned will re-test and split the band if necessary.

Thank You

Without a doubt your problems seem to be Wi-Fi related. The Now router doesn't have the best reputation when it comes to Wi-Fi. Unfortunately if you wait until the 10 days are up, there is very little time to leave within the 14-day cooling off period.
