Orange Internet light

Hi. 

 

I've been having an issue for the past week now. The router has an orange light in the Internet section. 

 

All wires are connected properly. I've tried resetting the router too but no luck.

 

Any ideas?

Sounds like giving the team a call is best.

 

Have you tried holding the reset button on the router for 10 seconds to factory reset the router?

Hi, thanks for replying. 

 

Yeah I've reset the router twice now. I called the team a couple of times too and they said they can't help until the 29th. I normally wouldn't mind but I can't watch TV without Internet and I'm on my own this Xmas!

How is your mobile phone signal? 

Worst case you can use your phone as a hot spot and then pester them for a reimbursement.

Yeah its looking like I might have to do that. What a nightmare.

Bad timing for a problem to occur, you have my sympathy.

It's probable the fault is in the Openreach connection, but there is one thing I would try before giving up.

If your router connects via a filter I would try with another filter just in case. If it connects directly to a DSL socket I would try with it via a filter into the test socket.

It may not be the filter at fault, but best to eliminate it before having no broadband over Christmas.
