It seems that NowTV Broadband will not transfer a Virgin Media phone number. I found this out after ordering NowTV Fibre online, and then getting an email with a new phone number, even though the order process said my number could be kept. On ringing NowTV agent, it was confirmed that NowTv will not transfer my old number. I then contacted BT, Plusnet and TalkTalk who all checked my line and said the number could be transferred to them OK, so it should not be an issue. Called another NowTV agent who also said line number will not be transferred. Cancelled my NowTV broadband order.
