No internet connection, again.

New customer since January

I have to keep resetting the modem / router every time the internet connections drops to get it working again.

Have sent a complaint about this and will ring  tomorrow to check if this is a frequent issue.

Oh internet gone again whilst posting this, so using mobile data. 🙂

@Kae

Commiserations 😢

But note that this is a Community of customers of Now, like you, and Now staff are vanishingly unlikely to see or read it.

Just so you know.

However, on the plus side, it would seem you are in touch with the Now Broadband team over this, who should be able to investigate excessive drops for you, so that either they, or Openreach alerted by them, can fix any issues found.

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it.
Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now.
That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.

@Kae

To follow up from @RoyB  this is my default post for anyone experiencing internet issues with NOW.

Below are some standard things you can and probably have done before calling the team.

Have you done a factory reset to the router indicated in the link below?https://help.nowtv.com/article/improve-broadband-speed

You need to call the broadband team. See link for number.

This link also shows any planned outages as well wide spread faults.

FYI that I do not work for NOW, just a NOW customer trying to help

Is the router dropping the connection to the internet, or is the wifi dropping out?

Try connecting to your router via ethernet, does it still drop out? what does your connection log say in the router config - ie uptime

 Have you tried setting up a BQM such as the one available here: https://www.thinkbroadband.com/broadband/monitoring/quality

 what does that reveal about your line?
