No dial tone on landline

Hello,

Broadband is working well but our phone line has gone down. All fine since installation at the beginning of January. There is no dial tone. Have tried a second phone and removed the front cover of the master socket and plugged the phone direct into the test/service socket, still no dial tone. This has happened before (about 2 weeks ago) but appeared to correct itself after a day or so. This time it’s been down for about a week. Technical checks indicate no fault – any ideas please?

Have been waiting over 2 hours to open a live chat but no response, hence this post.

Thanks

Pete

 Hi @Anonymous User

As you are a broadband customer, there is a number you can call - free from your landline, unless the problem you have means you can’t dial out, and will have to use a mobile.

Look under My Account, Broadband & Calls, or maybe Orders & Appointments, to see what number you should use.

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it.
Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now.
That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.
