Reply to my own question. This turned out to be a a misread of the uppercase letter i, which was printed as 'I'. This is a problem when passwords are printed in modern font styles.
Customer service on NOWTV is terrible. I Will not be renewing my contract with them. I have still not been informed of my new landline phone number. Had to discover it myself.
