Network Jitter / Packet Loss

I am having some serious issues with packet loss and network jitter playing FPS games.  My PC is connected by Ethernet, is the only device on the network etc.

When there’s an input, I’m getting spikes of up to 20% packet loss and 250ms of network jitter, making competitive FPS games completely unplayable.

Can anyone advise me of this is fixable or do I need to move provider?  For reference I’ve always been with BT, and minus the new Now router everything on the network is exactly the same and I never had an issue with BT in 4 years.

You could try using third-party DNS servers such as Google.

what happens if you do a factory reset to the router?

Give the broadband team a call to see if they can do anything. See link for number.
