Hi,
So after the widespread outage that happened on the 2nd of September my downstream speed went from 72Mbps to 58Mbps whilst the upstream speed remained the same at around 18Mbps.
I know there is a system that kicks in and limit the speeds when it detects multiple disconnects but my connection has been very stable before the 2/9 outage and the lowest speed I ever got was 70Mbps during the peak of everyone working from home.
So what is the best course of action to get that lost speed back?
I use a TP-Link VR400 and here are the current line stats:
Upstream Downstream
Current Rate (kbps) | 19999 | 68478 |
Max Rate (kbps) | 31100 | 89359 |
SNR Margin (dB) | 13 | 5.1 |
Line Attenuation (dB) | 0.6 | 8.8 |
Errors (pkts) | 145 | 0 |
Thanks.

Assuming you have performed a factory reset to the router. My recommendation is to call the broadband team.
