I am having some issues with my broadband hub and mobile connectivity. The laptop at my home is working fine but I'm having issues with the mobile connectivity. The connection keeps on disconnecting after every 5 minutes in our mobiles & I am literally not able to diagnose the same.
I have done everything in our mobile in terms of network reset, forgetting the network & resetting the mobile as well but nothing is working for me.
Could you guys please help?

Try splitting the bands, it might (keyword) help.

Hi @gavs82008
Do I need to go for splitting the bands for my mobile issue?
Both my mobiles are 5G actually, so not sure whether it will do any impact on my mobile wifi issue or not?

Yes you need to split the bands to see if it helps.

Ok, will try the same & let you know the outcome...!!!

It's a little difficult to know if you are referring to mobile connectivity (i.e. 4/5G) or Wi-Fi when using your mobiles at home.
Obviously if you are referring to mobile connectivity, splitting the bands on your router won't help, but also you probably need to ask in a forum for your mobile supplier/network.

It isn’t 5G cellular that matters here, it’s 5GHz WiFi.
While potentially faster than 2.4GHz, it doesn’t have the range that 2.4 has, and this is more problematic for devices that tend to be moving around the property than a laptop kept in one place.
But do please initially just try splitting the bands, assigning each band its own SSID, but making no other adjustments at all, and report back on the results.
If no improvement, then try going in to the Settings on each mobile, and ensure it is on the 2.4GHz WiFi band, and try again.
The Now advice blithely assumes that devices that can’t sort out where they should be when they have a choice of bands will somehow magically be able to do it when the bands are split; I am sceptical, and think that any improvement could only come from manually reallocating the band each device is on once they are split; common sense to me, but I have been robustly reminded that I have no practical experience of actually using Now broadband 😛
If splitting the bands doesn’t work, though, or doesn’t work well enough for you, then you could try replacing the Now Hub, which is notorious for its poor range. You will need a modem/router that supports the Sky MER 61 protocol, either new or off eBay, where there are lots of preloved Sky routers that will do the job without needing any reconfiguration, and do not have the range issue the Now routers do.

It was the OP that mentioned 5G.

They could have meant 5Ghz, but that wouldn't have made much sense.
If you do go for a 2nd hand Sky router, make sure it's an SR203 and not one of the older ones.

Isn't that exactly the point I was making? The mentioned cellular 5G has no bearing on the WiFi performance of the phones, but if they are going out of range of the Now router because they have put themselves on the 5Ghz band, then that may well be a relevant concern.

Amen to that 👍🏻

I would imagine any phone that moves out of range of the 5GHz would automatically switch to the 2.4Ghz, if they both have the same SSID. That is the whole point of having them joined and not split.
I don't think it is exactly clear just what problem the OP has.
If they are having to go through the rigmarole of forgetting the network and re-joining it sounds more that just simply loosing the 5GHz because of distance.
