Is the Engineer visit necessary?

Hi there,

I joined Now TV broadband and at the end of subscription they told me I needed an engineer visit to set up my services. I’m sure in my house there’s already a working socket since the former tenant is my friend and she had a broadband. So I would like to know why do I need an engineer if I can install the router by myself?

Hi @Anonymous User

My guess it's something on the BT Openreach database that has flagged up on NowTV automatic system that there is a requirement for an Engineer home visit.

You will be better off dropping NowTV an email asking this question where the Community Forum is predominantly used by customers helping fellow customers out.
