Internet drops same time everyday

Why has my internet been dropping around the same time everyday for the past week or so?

I think it unlikely anyone here can tell you that.

If we knew at what time it is occurring, we may be able to hazard a guess.

Internet drops at around 4:30pm to 4:40pm.  Have actually realised and our neighbours as well, its when the street lights go on.  Anyone know who would be able to help with this?

Contact Now Broadband and report the issue. This is something for Openreach to sort out, probably in concert with the street lighting people, and Now Broadband should get them to do this on your behalf.

If your neighbours are similarly affected, get them to contact their broadband suppliers likewise, and report this, as the more reports the better, and your neighbours may well have an ISP or ISPs who is/are on a tighter SLA than Now (2 working days instead of 3), as well as possibly having more clout with Openreach, and a more customer-focussed approach to using it.

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it.
Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now.
That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.

Mine does this too: 8.09am every morning, on the dot without fail. Wifi unaffected (according to router lights) but no internet.

Is that perhaps when your street lights go off?

Set up a BQM which may be able to tell you more , you cna set up a free one here, under tools https://www.thinkbroadband.com/   see instructions fort setting up with a Sky hub if you are using the Now router

 It will tell you if there is a problem at the same time each day that can be used in diagnosing a REIN fault, however the next problem is trying to get customer support to understand, and to initiate the right course of action
