Internet drop

Why does my internet drop out all the time 🤬

Probably because Now supply a router with notoriously poor WiFi 😢

But check, when you get drops, whether the lights on the router are steady or not.

If they are steady, it’s the wifi at fault, if not, contact Now as @gavs82008 suggests,

Another way of checking is to have something, like a laptop say, wired to the router via an Ethernet cable. If that drops out, it really is the broadband at fault. If it doesn’t, that says something about the WiFi.

If it’s the WiFi, source an SR203 router off eBay or similar. This is a compatible Sky router with much better WiFi.

Keep the Now router, to swap back in if you ever have to call Now Broadband for something that really is a fault on the broadband side of the connection.

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it. Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now. That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.

@Kes

Are you talking about Wifi or ethernet?

Below are some standard things you can and probably have done before calling the team.

Have you done a factory reset to the router indicated in the link below?https://help.nowtv.com/article/improve-broadband-speed

This link also shows any planned outages as well wide spread faults.
https://help.nowtv.com/service-status

You need to call the broadband team. See link for number.

FYI that I do not work for NOW, just a NOW customer trying to help
