Intermittent connectivity

My broadband has been dropping in and out all morning, which is quite annoying.  
I’ve followed the help to check the line and there was no issue at the time but on previous occasions when this has happened the technician on the phone found and fixed issues found elsewhere.  Today though, I have found there is no longer telephone support unless you pay £6 on top of call charges.  Does anyone know of how k can fix this?

What ever gave you that idea? As @Saint1976 says broadband support is a free-phone number.

You can also run a self test here: https://account.nowtv.com/check-service-status/  but as the problem is intermittent it's unlikely to find anything.

There used to be scammers out there claiming to offer a telephone number you could call for Now support.

 

It did not work, and they just took your money.

 

Thankfully, Now seem to have preempted them by ensuring Now get the top hit on Google, and explaining there that there is no telephone support for streaming.

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it. Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now. That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.
