IPv6: NLM_F_REPLACE set, but no existing node found!

My syslog is filling with lines repeated over and over. A quick search shows that the router is busying itself trying to remove a route that does not exist.

IPv6: NLM_F_REPLACE set, but no existing node found!

With the occasional:

IPv6: Can't replace route, no match found

Should be an easy fix.

Ditto here but they get filtered out here before the log entries to an external syslog

This is the external syslog. I assume you mean you've added a filter to the receiver? I've done that also, but that doesn't solve the underlying issue.

An unrelated issue with the syslog is that the line lengths are too short, so IPv6 addresses are truncated. This means that the router's syslog offers no clue as to where connections are actually being made.

Yeah the output goes from router to an RPi on the LAN (where cr@p can be filtered out) and then off to papertrail for viewing from anywhere.  Pretty sure I reported this way back but never got a reply and nothing has happened so...

Same issue here, using rsyslog.

I added line to my /etc/rsyslog.conf file:

:msg, contains "NLM_F_REPLACE" ~

That means those messages won't be added to any log.
