I have done all the checks but I still have no dial tone on my landline

I have done all the checks suggested but still have no dial tone & can’t make calls on my landline…if I ring the landline the phone rings & I can answer it though. This is a new occurrence, I haven’t had any problems with it before. I need this problem fixing please asap, how can you help me?
