I have been provided with ADSL router when I'm on FTTC service ( fiber to copper )

I am surprised that Now TV have supplied me with a ADSL router  when knowingly providing me with Fiber to copper broadband FTTC service which BTW they provide to others in my road it seems to me to be the only router they provide or have got the wrong end of he stick please somebody explain ?

You do appear to have got the wrong end of the stick.

What makes you think the router you have been supplied is ADSL not VDSL?

Have you connected the router, and what speeds are you getting?
