How to set up the broadband

I have already set up the broadband, but the internet light is dark and I don't know how to deal with that.

When is your go live date? As activation can take up until midnight.

You didn’t answer my question. When is/was your go live date? 
If it’s in the future then that’s why you won’t have any internet. If it was yesterday or in the past then you need to call the broadband team.

I have a similar situation. My go live date is 11 Sept and I plug in my broadband as instructed. I called the team and they said it could take 24 - 48 hours to get connected. So now I am confused as to when I can use the broadband.

When you get the green light - literally in this case 😛

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it. Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now. That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.
