How to factory reset ?

How do I do a factory reset? Tried resetting by holding button on back but doesn’t work

That’s only a restart, not a reset.

A reset Hub should wake up and ask ‘Where am I?, having forgotten all user-configured settings made since it arrived,

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it.
Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now.
That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.

Yes, that does look like a reset. In which case Now should get their terminology right, and warn users that doing this will remove any configuration they might have done.

Like splitting the bands, for instance, for the massive improvements that brings; they need to know to set it all up again.
