High pitched noise coming from router constantly

Whenever there is power to the hub it puts out a high pitched whine that drives us crazy, have to unplug the thing if i want to sleep in there, stopping others from watching netflix/ gaming.

 

Ive seen people post about this before but noone had a solution, do i need to give NOW a call as cant find a means to contact them online

Sounds to me like a faulty NowTV Hub Router.

 

I have seen people on the forum report this before.

I have installed three NowTV Hub 2 Routers all running silent.

 

Hopefully a replacement Router will resolve it.

To ask the daft question, have you turned off your router for a while and turned it back on?

 

As for getting in touch with the broadband team, yes generally speaking you have to give them a call. (number on the link below)

Cheers for the response, yeah i have tried disconnceting power, tried with & without Ethernets plugged in still the same.

Thank you for the responses people

 

Just spoke to NOW, told them the issue and the guy was very helpful and said they'll send a replacement box within 3 - 5 days

 

Hopefully the new one is all good
