Hi @Anonymous User
The 2.4ghz and 5ghz is the WiFi bands that are available on your NOW Hub 2 Router (assuming you have the Hub 2 model which has been out about 3 years rather than the older Hub 1 Router).
NOW offer three internet speeds when you sign up, which is std lower speed Brilliant Broadband on average around 11Mbps down, Fab Fibre which is the middle speed available which is around 36 Mbps which is dependant on how far the cabinet is located from your home and the condition of the wiring or the highest speed is Super Fibre which is around 63Mbps down and again is dependant on how far the street cabinet in terms of distance to your home (the closer the cabinet in theory the higher the speed).
On my NOW Hub 2 Router i have split the two wifi bands and tested both bands on my various internet devices to see which works best for me in my home environment.
Here's instructions below if you are interested (assuming you have the Hub 2 Router).
Your Hub Two is dual-band (2.4GHz and 5 GHz). Splitting these bands to create 2 different Wi-Fi networks can help to improve the speed to your devices. Here’s how to do it:
