Was this your scheduled live activation date today or was it a reoccurring problem for the Engineers visit ?
Should it be the planned switch over date and you already have a BT master telephone socket, then have you already plugged in and switched on the NOW Hub Router to see if the three green lights show on the front of the Router giving it around 30 minutes to boot up (just in case the Engineer got the internet running remotely from the street cabinet, where i have seen this happen on a number of occasions in the past).
