Chromecast crashes?

Hi. Now TV repeatedly crashes on me, whereas other apps don't.  I have to use Chromecast as my JVC TV does not have a Now TV app.  Would anyone recommend a more reliable alternative? Roku? Don't want to invest in something and end up in same situation.

Which Chromecast do you have? What do you mean by "crashes" exactly, have you checked that the software is up to date? Roku is generally reliable.

Hi, not sure what model it is but software up to date as I keep switching
it off and plugging it back in, which I believe updates the software. If
I'm watching a match, after a while the transmission stops and I get a
picture just showing an ad for the Sex in the City reboot. Thanks for the
reply, btw.
