Can't switch off wifi

Just installed BT Wholehome. Sky Q main box is connected by ethernet cable to router.

Everything seems to be working ok but, I am trying to turn off Wifi on router.

I have gone it router settings and unticked unable wireless access point on both 2.4 & 5 GHz, clicked on apply but I an still able to connect to the Now broadband ssid wirelessly with all devices.

I wanted to switch wifi off as to have no interference.

Any ideas on what else I need to do?

@Anonymous User Welcome to the community. Did you apply each page separately, as clicking apply once only actions the page you are currently changing?

To double check go to http://192.168.0.1/Now_TV_wireless_band.cgi?band=2.4GHz , deselect 'enable wireless access point' and click apply.

Then go to http://192.168.0.1/Now_TV_wireless_band.cgi?band=5GHz and do the same on that page.

That’s all you should need to do.

Thanks Andy but I have done that. Just turned it on and then deselected it again, both of them separately, it's just really bugging me.

@Anonymous User Strange, I have a similar set up to yours and didn’t have any issues disabling WiFi on the NOW TV Hub. Try resetting the router (press and hold the reset button at the back until the power light flashes amber, then release and wait a few minutes for it to reset and reboot) then try again and see if the setting sticks. Bear in mind a reset will revert all settings to factory default, including the admin password to log into the router again (username: admin and password: nowtv)

If that doesn’t sort it there’s more active members on the forum who should be able to jump in. Good luck!
