Broadband set up in flat

Hello,

I'm new to the community. I've just moved to a new flat and have signed up for broadband. I've booked an engineer visit, but is this necessary if the flat already has a phone and satellite sockets wired in?

Sorry if this is a daft question, it's all new to me!

Thanks for your help.

Sam

Although the engineer probably won’t need access to your flat, he will need to do his stuff in the exchange and street cabinet.

Of course if there is a problem, or the phone socket is Virgin one, he will need access.
