I have an engineer due to visit today for installation. However, my hub delivery has been delayed and may not get here before the engineer.
Will the engineer need this to carry out installation?

The Engineer if scheduled for a home visit doesn't really need a Router connected to do their work.
If you have an old Sky Router lying around then use this has a temporary measure until your NOW Hub Router turns up.
