I was about to sign up for braodband with Now. During the form filling date selection it says I don't need an engineer visit. However, I'm pretty sure the existing phone socket isn't working (it was hanging off the wall!) I can't call Now unless I pay first (weird sales service that!!) My Question. Do I get someone else to check the phone socket or is there a way that I can tell Now that actually I do need an engineer prior to sighning? I don't want to wait 2 weeks to get activated/router and then find line isn't working. I don't have anything I can check the socket with either.
