Broadband Installation Timeframe

Hi Community,

Will the engineer contact me when they are half an hour away? I can't be in for the installation, so my neighbour is coming round to let them in. I don't want the engineer to show up and there be nobody there.

It's been a while since I have switched broadband, my guess is that they would give you a 1 hour slot when they plan to arrive.

I doubt Now will have much idea of when the engineer will visit (if he does at all) as it will be an Openreach engineer. If it is a standard installation (swapping from one ISP to another) the work can all be done at the exchange/cabinet.
