Broadband Activation problems

Yesterday was my change over day, thought I had nothing better to do tan plug in and set up my router, as has been the case whenever I have switched before, but no. Got everything set up, but no conection to the internet, as it supposedly can take up to midnight I left it, this morning still no connection. I phoned up to be told that there is a problem with a third party system and that they would refer it to Openreach, other than that they had no answers for me other than Openreach may get in contact with me and it could take up to 72 hours to resolve the issue. So I'm left with no broadband or access to any of my paid for online services, tv etc. Never had ANY issues when switching before, doesn't instill me with much confidence with their service 😞 Has anyone else had any issues similar?
