My broadband speed is only 24mb
Signed up to average 63mb
I should be getting 56mb minimum.
Had an openreach engineer that was on the street to check the line.
Line is fine . Said it's being limited by the provider . and maximum I would get is 40mb
Why ?
Is this with Wi-Fi or Ethernet?
For Wi-Fi split the bands.

How long have you been a customer for? Is it over 10 days?

I've been with now broadband for over 12 months.
The connection speeds were tested at the hub. Wired connection by openreach engineer on his device.
Fair enough, have you done a factory reset to the router indicated in the link above?
It is possible there could be a fault on the line as far back as the cabinet. If I were you I’d call the team and ask for full line investigation.

But from the engineer's comments, it may be you are on Fab Fibre, instead of Super Fibre.
Have you had this speed all the time, or has it slowed recently?
Edit: Check here to see what Openreach believe your line to be capable of:
VDSL Range A (Clean)
VDSL Range B (Impacted)
77.4 | 55.7 | 20 | 13.7 | 49 | Available | Available |
75 | 49 | 19.7 | 12 | 40 | Available | Available |
From your BT/Openreach stats you should be getting at least 50Mbs, I would expect in the 70s.
Even if you are on Fab Fibre, you should be getting the Max available on that, which is (AFAIK) 40Mbs.
I suspect you will need another Openreach engineer.
