I have been trying to work on a clients website from home and have discovered that if the Broadband Buddy is enabled, then I get timeouts from 2 sites:
Without the buddy enabled, they are accessible, but when the buddy is enabled the sites just timeout or even worse are being blocked with the message stating they are "Pornography & Adult".
I can access other sites on the same server.but any with the domain substancedataportal.net are being flagged as "Pornography & Adult" for example https://substancedataportal.net/ is a website that simply states "Nothing to see here"
These are not pornographic or even adult websites! I try going to the report report a site mistakenly blocked, but the submit button does not activate as there are no categories to list.
Can you get his unblocked, but also inform me as to why they have been block so if it is an issue with the SSL I might resolve this before UEFA and EFL start wondering why their systems are being classed as porn
Also, are you able to inform me as to why sites on this domain are blocked so I can check the SSL set up as I am starting to suspect that this might be the reason
Cheers
Al

I am the account holder. I can switch off Broadband Buddy. But this site should not be classed as an adult site as it's not an adult site

You can't switch it off, the best you can do is set to 18+. If remote access isn't allowed then that is something you will need to take up separately with Broadband support directly.

You can switch it off, you go to the bottom if the following page and you switch it off: https://account.nowtv.com/broadband-buddy/settings/
I had to turn it on in the first place when someone mention that the site was being blocked.
This thread is not about switching BB off or editing its level of blocks. It's about trying to get hold of someone technical at NowTV to stop these sites from being blocked when BB is switched on.

If you don’t have the number for support check out the link below.

Cheers. I have sent a complaint, but will try ringing them up later this morning

My bad, they have clearly changed it since last I looked. Which is a change for the better, giving users more choice. Doesn't help you I know, so apologies from me for getting that wrong.

Just an update on the ongoing saga. Going through the complaints email (Thanks gavs2008), they "claimed" to have solved the issue by deactivating the Broadband Buddy (facepalm). I shot them an email back reiterating the issue and they have since asked for a full list of addresses and will look into it. But speaking to the people behind blocked.org.uk, these ISP filters are a nightmare
