I've just bought a new LG tv but can't add new device on my account and when I go to the app on the tv it doesn't let me sign in.
If anyone else has had this issue and resolved it, please let me know

Yes having same problem. Keep saying it doesn’t recognise username and password yet still works on iPad. Tried resetting password but link expires before I can reset. Can’t call or live chat NowTV. Just sent email and waiting for response.
fustrating! we have new LG TV too.

I don't own a LG Smart TV so i won't be much help sorry.
Firstly what i would try is go to My Account > Devices whilst logged in on here to make sure you have a spare device slot.
Then i would try deleting the NowTV App (even if it's a new television) and reinstall a fresh App from your television Apps Store.
Once the App has been downloaded and ready to go, unplug the power at the mains on your television (give it a minute) then power back up and try and sign into the App.
Hopefully an LG Smart TV owner who has come across this problem before will offer you some further advice.
