Stream quality on LG tv for Now TV films at 90!

I bought a new LG tv a week a go, when watching movies on Now tv the stream quality fluctuates between 90 and 1180. 90 is awful and I've ref much higher stream quality numbers on other threads. What is going wrong?

Hi and welcome to the forum @Anonymous User,

 

Sorry to hear you're having problems. In order to help you, can you please provide the following information: -

  • What's the 'Model' number of your 'smart' television?
  • What's the 'Software Version' number of your 'smart' television?
  • What's your NOW TV 'app' version?
    [Which can be found by launching the NOW TV app then visiting: My Account and looking 'top right' of the screen...]
  • Have you tried deleting and re-installing the NOW TV app (if possible on your model)?
  • How is your 'smart' television connected to the internet. Is it via a hard-wired or wireless (WiFi) ethernet connection?
  • Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)?
  • Have you tried re-booting your router (by disconnecting the power, waiting 30 seconds and reconnecting the power)?

Sufficed to say, the more detailed information you are able to provide, the easier it will be for us and/or the NOW TV developers to work out a solution for you!

...also BBC Iplayer, 4OD, ITV player all lag or don't play.

 

In answer to your questions:

 

We have an LG tv.

Software version, I'm not sure?  But I found LG web OS TV UJ701V (If this is it?)

App version, 2.27.0 (going by your directions)

WIFI connction

I've tried rebooting.

Our provider is SKY.

I have an LG DVD player which says 90 on sports channel and 140 on other channels, on my LG tv is fine, what is the issue with the DVD player
