Totally agree - I have exactly the same TV and the same issues with NowTV. When it works it's great, but navigation regularly falls over with unpredictable results and then hangs. Exiting and re-entering sometimes resets it and it will work ok for a while. All other player apps work fine, so seems to be a NowTV rather than a TV issue. Lets hope this gets resolved soon........

On this model I am not able to delete the app - the TV won't let me as its one of the standard apps ...
That's a bit odd @Anonymous User. How about performing a 'factory reset'? Or whatever Samsung call it!
It's not really odd. Most smart phones have the same thing. There are standard apps that come with the TV and when you try to delete them a message comes up saying that you can't delete the standard apps. It's just the way the TV is made/sold.
Yes I can do a factory reset but this means that I'll have to go through the milarky of getting everything set up again afterwards. It's the sort of thing that I would do once to sort out a problem but the issue returns I'll have to switch to anther content provider - esp since people have been complaining about this for a while and neither Now or Samsung seem to be doing a lot about it.
But yes I will try that.
Very disappointed in this. Have just signed up to Now TV Movies and am using a Samsung UE55KS7000 latest firmware. The menu is a mess. As others have said, text overlaps, its laggy, you select an option but the view pane is black, you press back to try and solve it and it tries to sign you out. Through patience and time I can eventually view something but I feel like i've wasted my money.
+1 on this issue. I have a UE48JU6500 and get messed up menus (overlapping etc) and lag. No issues watching programs and I find a hard reset of the app (press and hold the exit button on the remote) briefly fixes it. NetFlix, Auntie Beeb's iPlayer and Amazon all fine - just the Now app.
I have exactly the same issue. Sometimes it works and sometimes it just hangs and buffers. It's not the wifi and it works fine with all the other apps. Also now tv works fine on the ipad so it's not an account issue.
can someone at Now try to resolve.
I have been frustrated by this problem for a while, but an answer given above by RamblingC has helped greatly.
Even though sometimes it reoccurs, using a long press on the exit button fixes it every time and I can now use the app consistently.
Same Problem here with a Samsung UE55JU6800. Even using NowTV on my Playstation 4 Pro, seems to be lagging in the Navigation menu. It just works because of its sheer computing power but even then, it's slow and buggy. Who wrote those apps?
I have the same screwy menu problem as others. My TV is the UE65KU6400.
This in a NOWTV forum and in 2 months no input to this discussion?

Gone again 😞 I have no control over any function you press on something and something else comes up. When I try to hard shut down as soon as I press exit it's gone. I give up.
I have reinstalled the app - works fine for a while
Turn TV off at wall - works fine for a while
Amazone Prime - works fine all the time
BBC iPlayer - fine
ITV hub - another story - other forums
A note to all...
If running the NOW TV app on Samsung televisions is anything like running the NOW TV app on LG televisions, it's vital that your televisions software is the most up-to date version.
I have this problem too; I can't quite believe there's been no positive response from the provider. This is a clearly a coding issue, and should have been an overnight fix for the development team.
Having the same issue on my 65KS8000 tv - the app is unusable and I've decided to cancel my pass until they resolve the issue. Shameful, that no action to fix the problem has been taken in all this time. Incidentally, I too have the latest firmware installed. The navigation buttons often have no effect or produce unpredictable results, preventing me from searching for any programme to view.
The answer is an external NowTV box, but I'm simply not prepared to buy one of these, having paid so much for a tv that is supposed to include this functionality.
Really, someone from either NowTV or Samsung needs to address this issue - that is, if they truely intend to retain their subscribers!
