Problems after reset

Hi, I recently swapped my sons youview box with now tv on it for a sky q box. I’ve put the youview box in his bedroom and thought I’d do a factory reset and now it won’t let me register the youview box even though it’s showing on my devices list. Anyone know why?

When you go to My Account > Devices have you any device swaps left this month ?

 

The reason i am asking is when you factory reset the Youview box you may have confused the software on the NowTV website with regards to the registered devices.

 

If you have any spare device swaps left then remove the Youview box from your list and see if it will register when you play your NowTV passes on it.

 

Other than that because live chat is closed due to the coronavirus pandemic you may have to wait until the 1st of May to have three new device swaps available on your account.

 

Also i am assuming you have an hard wired Ethernet cable between the Youview box and Power line adapters / Router, because my understanding is the Youview boxes run over Lan rather than wifi.
