Nowtv sport on roku buffering/ dropping picture quality

Evening all

I’ve had a roku for the last year and this month when watching sports the picture drops and buffers. I’ve checked my Asus router app and it just drops from 8-15mb/s down to kB and at times no connection for no apparent reason.

Everything else I watch on the roku no issue at all plus connection is the same as my iPhone in the same room and I have no buffering on that either. 

I’ve bought a now tv box into the same room and have checked connection and it’s rock steady 8-10mb/s.

Please someone help me because I’m absolutely stumped.

It might sound elementary but do you have boost?

Had boost as soon as it came out. Took up the year offer at £25 and had no issues.
Last month on the roku it has constantly just fluctuated from good picture to absolutely terrible then buffering and this is within the space of 5 minutes. 

Last 20 minutes on the now box absolutely no issues. 

Doesn’t make sense how it’s only in the last month that’s it’s just struggled. Interesting to see the bandwith of the router when using the roku just fluctuate so much. I have 150mb and it’s the only Device on so there’s so bandwith isn’t an issue.

Have you tried to delete and reinstall the app? 

You could also try the IT turn your router off and on again after a minutes.

Worst case you could set the device back to factory settings.
