NowTV quality fluctuates badly

Recently switched to new tv (LG 48C1 oled), and when using built in NowtV app, the quality bounces around from great to bloody awful and almost unwatchable. My internet connection is running around 56mb. i have tried both wired and wifi…same result.

if I switch to watching the exact same show via my Apple TV box, which is connected to the same internet, the picture is great and remains stable.


any ideas what might be the issue?

Is this on live TV or on demand?

 

Do you have boost?

 

Is your connection Wi-Fi or Ethernet?

Its on demand (currently watching Dexter)

 

as mentioned…tried it on both wifi and ethernet.

 

no..don’t have boost yet. However, have had Now Tv over a year now and this constant drop in quality has only really been happening the past two weeks..

Ah sorry I misread the post, went into autopilot with the questions! Haha

 

Something worthwhile trying is to reboot your router, assuming you haven’t tried already. 

You might be able to get a decent deal with boost to see if that helps.

Thanks for the suggestion…

 

nothing else is having issues with internet so don’t see how a reboot would resolve anything. 
Same tv, same router,same show…crap on tvs app, great on apple tv box app!

 

makes no sense!
