NowTV app on AppleTV 4K hangs

We are having issues with NowTV displaying a blank screen with just the spinning loading symbol.  Exiting the app and going back in doesn’t fix it. The only solution we have found is to restart the AppleTV box. (I don’t see a way to force-stop and restart just the app).

It is not a WiFi or network issue, the box is connected via Ethernet and we have 200Mb fibre broadband. 
As soon as the box restarts and NowTV is loaded, it works perfectly.  
this is happening apparently randomly about once a week.

All other streaming apps (Netflix, iPlayer, Prime etc) work perfectly 

Any ideas?

For info... the way to force close a misbehaving app is to press and hold the 'tv' button then you will see an app switcher...

scroll to the app left or right then swipe up to quit it.  Its actually the same idea as the iPhone and iPad.

As to why it keeps hanging.. no idea.  Can't say that happens on mine much.

@nst  Thanks for the info on killing the app - that at least speeds up the fix.

Correct solution, I have the same problem fairly frequently. I don’t think the NowTV devs at Osterley towers care much about Apple TV.
