Now app not available on Sony Tv

Hi there,

My Dad always used to Chromecast Now Tv from his Samsung tablet however he’s unable to do this now.

He has a Sony Smart Tv ( less than 2 years old) but the Now app doesn’t seem available when you put it in the search window.

I’ve got a Sony Tv and have no issues.

Any ideas please or does he need to go back to using a Now Tv stick as another option?

Any help would be greatly received as he loves his footie ⚽️

Did your Dad try opening the Google Play Store App on the Sony Android Smart Television and from inside the App see if you can find the NOW App to download onto the television ?

Maybe also check the regional settings on the Sony television.

I don't own a Sony Smart TV, so maybe other forum members can assist.

Out of curiosity what is the model number of the Sony television ?

Yes I believe it was from the Google Play store and I will have to get back to you with the Tv model number.

Are you sure this is an Android Smart TV, where i couldn't find much information about the OS  but this Sony Spec sheet mentions Linux which doesn't support the NOW App from it's smart platform.

Only NOW is available on Sony android TVs
