Now Tv app on Samsung Smart TV not working.

The past month or so on my samsung tv now tv app has been terrible. Whenever I turned my TV on, I had to open the app, close it & reopen it again for it to work, Now the app wont even open/displays a black screen! Anyone else having the same problems?

I have also had the same issue for the last few weeks in my Samsung tv. It just won’t load Now tv (or iPlayer) Just a blank white screen. Will load all other apps.

I have reset the smart hub and it worked once then stopped.

Now tv works on my laptop etc so it’s down to my tv.

Did you manage to resolve this?

The NOW TV app on my Samsung TV has got this issues as well. When I load it I just get a black screen and nothing else. 

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

I get this problem with a few Apps actually, nowTV and Netflix more noticeably as they're used the most. I find that if I hold the power button down on the remote for about 5 seconds till the "Samsung SmartTV" logo reappears it forces a kind of reboot of the TV, like as if you unplugged and plugged the TV back in.

 

It's done the trick for me and a standard IT 101 tip (restart the machine!).

Held power button on remote until tv goes off and standby keeps flashing red. 

Took finger off power button and hey ho now tv app working.

 Hope this works for other... My tv by the way is a Samsung smart tv
