LG webOS TV Now TV not working

Hi, I’m over in Ireland for a few days and trying to sign into my Now TV account on an LG WebOS UM7600PLB and for some reason I just cannot sign in. I set up my account in the UK, and the app seems to be working fine, but when I try to sign in I get the loading sign and then ‘Unable to load video’. It seems like there’s an issue with signing in, am I not able to use a UK account in Ireland? Or is there something else I’m missing? Thanks!

You should be able to use it, since technically you are roaming in the EU, but I bet it has spotted the IE IP address, and is trying and failing to hook you up with the IE NowTV service.

 

How did you get on with Live Chat, which @gavs82008 helpfully pointed you to?

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it.
Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now.
That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.
