I have also had this problem for a few days.
To cut a long story short I have 2 Roku devices 1 was OK the other was the problem so I stuck a pin in the reset button hole to reset it. Then turned it back on, the device showed up on my list just the once (it was showing multiple times as separate devices).
It seems to have done the trick so far.
