Control Playback quality to reduce data usage like Netflix

How can I limit playback quality to reduce my data usage like on Netflix.

Using andoid app and casting to chromcast.

This feature has been asked for a few times but unfortunately at the moment there are no options to limit data usage, the NOW TV app will try to stream the best quality it can for your device and data connection. I suggest you keep an eye on your mobile data usage carefully to avoid charges.

This is disappointing, I wish I knew this before signing up, on netflix I get up to 3 hours per gig with no real noticable difference to quality.
