Casting to Chromecast shows Too Many Devices error

I have just tried casting an episode of something I wanted to watch from my Phone to my Chromecast enabled Sony TV. When I did this I got the "Too Many Devices" error even though I was technically only wanting to watch the episode on a single device. Has casting now essentially been rendered useless unless you have boost?

If you are using Chromecast, then make sure that casting is enabled BEFORE you select anything to play i.e. tap the icon and check that your TV is picking up first. Then choose what you want to watch. Otherwise, playback on your mobile, or whatever, counts as a device.
