Cannot view Now TV Entertainment on YouView? (Humax DTR-T2000)

Hi,

I just signed up to Now TV Entertainment and have a YouView DTR-T2000.

However, the On Demand App only offers Movies (much like the Sky Store app alongside it) - but not the contents of the Entertainment package.

I've left it for a day to see if it's an account clearance thing - but no joy.

I understand streaming of live channels doesn't work, but what about the 250 box sets I've signed up for?

What is going on?

Welcome to the forum.

Unfortunately YouView only supports the on-demand movies on Movies Pass, you can't watch the Entertainment or Sports pass on it.

Have a look at the following list of supported devices as you might have something else in your house that you can use instead, eg games console, Chromecast or Apple TV.

I have newly purchased a Now TV box with 3 months Entertainment pass and it would appear I am unable to access this on bT You View, and am being offered Movies only. Am I doing something wrong or have I wsted my money?

Hi @Anonymous User,

The NOW TV 'Entertainment' (and 'Sports') service(s) can not be accessed from a YouView/BT box. Primarily because the YouView/BT service offers the same channels via their own platform...

@Anonymous User  of course you could always hook up the box and use that to watch the entertainment pass.

No @Anonymous User  I mean hook up the Now TV box that came with the passes assuming you have not binned it.

Hi @Anonymous User,

Perhaps the following 'Help Centre' article may be of use to you: NOW TV shows that aren't available on YouView. I guess YouView/BT should make this particular issue more clear to their customers Smiley Surprised

@Anonymous User As well as the nowtv box, you can also use many other devices. Hopefully you don't have to waste the pass. 🙂

I have just signed up for the three month entertainment pass but cannot only see Movies available to me upon signing into my account.

Can anyone advise as to how I access the TV programmes, box sets etc., please

Thank you

Carmel

Welcome to the forum.

Is it a YouView box you are trying to watch on? If so, then unfortunately only the movie pass can be watched on YouView boxes , not entertainment, kids or sports.

Have a look at the following list of supported devices as you might find you already have something that you can watch entertainment on. If you have an LG smart TV (one that connects to the Internet) it may be that it has the NOW TV app on it.

If not, a NOW TV box is probably your cheapest option.

If you do have another compatible device such as a games console, Roku, Chromecast etc that you want to set up, you can find more details here

Thank you for your email reply.

Sorry, I'm not a techno person but I'll run you through what I have.

I am with talktalk so I have their box.

I assume I am accessing Nowtv through the box.

I have signed in etc., but cannot find how access the tv part of the offer.

does this make sense?
